I love writing favorites, but have not had the time to formally think through favorites since school started. Every month, I would think, I will put this in my monthly favorites, and can only come up with 2 items because my thoughts are really elsewhere. However, having had a bit of time to think over the past week or so, I have been able to come up with (and am continuing to) a list of my favorite things from this year. I always love seeing end of the year favorite videos and posts. And while I don’t have anything out of the ordinary on here, it should be slightly unique, as would anyones favorites post. I’ve also opened up my last favorites post while typing, to be sure there isn’t a ton of overlap (though there will be a bit.) They’re are many things I’ve tried and enjoyed since summer time, but a lot of the things from my summertime favorites are still my favorites. Anyway, enough rambling.
My first favorite is my cat, Louis. It may seem odd to put an animal as a favorite, but to me it is not, as he is my furry little amigo, who is always doing funny things and just makes my life better. He is a very affectionate cat and everyone I know (even my friends/family who aren’t “cat people”) like him! However, the rest of my favorites will not be living. I love my family and friends, but to write about how they’re your “Favorites” just seems odd to me (even if they are very much so my favorites, moreso then any other product or whatever i’ll be mentioning.)
China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy- I talked about this in my summr favorites, and don’t feel the need to further elaborate. It’s just my favorite neon polish.
Sation Lollipop! Goes the Princess- Also mentioned this in my summer favorites, it’s my favorite pastel.
Essie Cashmere Bathrobe- I had done a Manicure Mondy post for this a few months ago. I just like that it’s a lot differnt than a regular gray, as it’s darker, and it seems to have a bit of blue in it, as well as shimmer.
China Glaze Ruby Pumps- I like this because of the shimmer. It does remind me of ruby slippers, but is also sort of sophisticated. I feel like a child could wear this, but a working woman could as well.
Lush Dirty Springwash Showergel- I feel no need to further explain my love for this. I’ve mentioned it before. It’s just my favorite.
Cotton Candy Girly Girl Body Spray by Prince Matchabelli (NOT PICTURED) – Hannah gave me this for Christmas a few years back. I don’t know why it took me so long to start using it but I really like it. It’s sweet like cotton candy, but it also has a vanilla and fruity scent to it. It may be too sweet for summer time (I have a fear of attracting bugs with my perfume) but I really like it.
got 2 b gloss anti-frizz serum- I think I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s the best product I’ve found for frizzy hair so far. I’m not currently using it as I’ve just been around my house mostly and it seems like a waste, but when I return to school I will.
Sultra Hair Mascara (Ultra Pink & Lapiz Blue)- These were expensive. I still can’t believe I bought both. However, I love them. They’re really easy to use and actually show up on my dark hair.
Other “Beauty” Items
Eos Lip Balm (ALL OF THEM)- I only discovered (started using) eos at the end of 2012, and my love for them continued into 2013. They’re very hydrating and I like that they’re all natural.
The Moon and More- Saeah Dessen; It took me a while to get into this book, though I was determined to as Sarah Dessen has been a favorite of mine since I was roughly 12-13. Luckily, it did get better. A lot. It was a great summer read!
If I Stay- Gayle Foreman; Technically finished in the New Year, but started in december so I figure it counts. It doesn’t have a concrete plot, really. It’s mostly flashbacks. However, I felt the flashbacks had these sweetness and sadness to them that makes this novel quite memorable.
The Fault In Our Stars- John Green; This is a tearjerker about two teenagers with cancer. It made me pretty emotional but I loved it. I think it makes the reader, or at least me as a reader, think about life a little differently.
Frozen- I took my sisters to see this, and it was very sweet and lovely. There was a surprise twist and I loved the end. A full review coming later.
Thelma & Louise- Still my favorite! I love this movie way too much. Thelma and Louise are totally bad-ass, and I kind of want to be them.
Reality Bites- Another one I’ve mentioned already. As an almost done with college student, I feel like I can relate to this movie, and I just really liked it.
